About

Passionate about his family, Ian enjoys working with clients and their families to help protect the wealth they have built during their working lives and structuring arrangements to ensure the wealth transfers to next generations as tax efficiently as possible. This work entails retirement, investment and tax planning with an emphasis on making plans clear and easy to understand. Ian works closely with solicitors and accountants to build robust arrangements, tailored to individual needs.

As part of my own intergenerational planning, my daughter Ayesha joined the Practice in September 2019 as a Trainee Adviser. Ayesha is full-time support to the Practice whilst studying to take her financial exams, she has already completed the first two parts of St. James's Place internal support staff modules. Having spent 10 years working together helping Ayesha running other businesses, we are very excited with the prospect of working together to further develop Ian Bell Wealth Management.

Ian has regularly supported the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation and in the past has undertaken walking challenges across Dartmoor, climbing one of the ‘Munros’ on the Isle of Skye and cycling challenges in Ireland, France and more locally for the 100 mile challenge during 2020.

Ayesha has followed suit and completed her first fundraising challenge for the Foundation in September 2020 when she took to the skies above Cirencester to complete a Wing Walk. An incredible experience whilst raising funds for brilliant causes supported by the St. James's Place Foundation.

Hobbies include gardening and walking but most of his spare time is taken up helping his daughters. Together with wife Rosie, Ian regularly helps to look after grandchildren Noah, Alivia, Archie and Hollie – with all four age 5 and under it’s a handful at the weekends!

The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.

The levels and bases of taxation and reliefs from taxation can change at any time. The value of any tax relief depends on individual circumstances.
